Learning to read is the foundation of a child's academic journey. This study looked into how phonics-based video lessons can help improve the word recognition skills of Grade One learners. By focusing on the direct connection between letters and their sounds, the intervention aimed to strengthen our learners' ability to decode and read words with confidence. We used a simple pre-test/post-test framework, tracking progress before and after introducing the videos. The intervention featured an engaging series of video clips designed to make learning phonics fun, multi-sensory, and highly interactive to keep early learners focused. By analyzing the pre-test and post-test scores, we evaluated the practical improvements in their reading skills. We also gathered feedback directly from the children through light discussions to capture their actual classroom experiences. The results point to the valuable role digital tools play in early literacy, offering practical insights for teachers looking to boost word recognition in a fresh, modern way.
