Abstract

Artificial intelligence is widely used across different professions. Artificial intelligence is also used by students and teachers alike. This study analyzes the utilization of artificial intelligence and its influence on science teaching practice. In which the aim of this study is to analyze the utilization of artificial intelligence and its influence on science teaching practices of science teachers. The data is gathered through a purposive sampling in which the respondents mainly consist of 140 science teachers in the division of Manila across six districts of Manila. Prior to the data gathering of the study permit to conduct study is settled from the division office of Manila. Also, ethical clearance was affixed as before conducting the survey to the science teachers. The respondents were guided by a 4-point Likert scale to answer various questions on the utilization of artificial intelligence and its influence on science teaching practices. The study is mainly focused on descriptive study in which it seeks to observe, describe, record, and describe a particular phenomenon or population of the study without manipulating any variables. The study resulted in which teachers moderately utilized artificial intelligence in science teaching practices. Additionally, teachers were often influenced by artificial intelligence in science teaching practices. However, teachers often face challenges in utilizing artificial intelligence in science teaching practices. The study also resulted in that there is a significant difference in the extent of utilization of artificial intelligence to the demographic background of the respondents. Also, there is a significant difference in the influence of artificial intelligence in science teaching practices to the demographic background of the respondents. Lastly, the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between the extent of utilization of artificial intelligence to the degree of influence of artificial intelligence in science teaching practices.
