This study determined the relationship between the level of participation to sports and academic performance among student-athletes of Bislig 2B District, Division of Bislig City. A quantitative descriptive-correlational design was employed involving 100 elementary student-athletes from eight public schools through full enumeration. Sports participation was measured using 17 adopted items covering skills and sports orientation, while academic performance was obtained from the respondents' official general average grades. Mean and standard deviation described sports participation and academic performance, and Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient tested the relationship between the variables. Results showed that participation in sports was highly manifested overall (M = 3.88), with skills (M = 3.89, SD = 0.86) and sports orientation (M = 3.88, SD = 0.91) both highly manifested. The respondents attained an overall academic mean of 85.94, interpreted as Very Satisfactory; none recorded a general average below 75. The correlation between sports participation and academic performance was weak and not statistically significant (r = 0.062, p = .539). The study concluded that strong sports engagement did not correspond to statistically significant differences in academic grades within the population studied. Accordingly, academic monitoring, remediation, time-management support, teacher-coach coordination, mentoring, parent engagement, and recognition were proposed to complement continued sports participation.
